Accredited PRINCE2 and PMI Agile (PMI-ACP) Project Manager, with specialist skills in leadership, business administration, and people/resource management.

Mark Freeman, Trustee

I have lived in Buckden for over 25 years and been involved in a number of voluntary roles in the village including, Buckden School and Buckden Junior & Senior Football Clubs. 

I am currently Secretary to the Bowls club, Trustee to BVHT and Chair to a registered Bereavement charity. 

Lauren Goodger, Trustee
 

I live in the village with my young family, and like a lot of parents here, I want Buckden to be a place our children can grow up with great spaces, strong community spirit, and opportunities to get involved. Joining the Trust is my way of playing a more active role in that. 

Professionally, I work in marketing, and I’m keen to bring that experience to the Trust, and help with ad-hoc and on-going projects to improve communal spaces.  

 

 

 
 

Matthew Squire, Trustee

I grew up climbing the trees and playing football on the field that the BVHT looks after. I have too often frequented the village club over the years, been to parties and clubs in the hall, have played tennis on the courts and had a go at lawn bowls. I’ve played cricket and football for Buckden teams, managed my childs’ football team and count the memorial fields as a large part of my life. I’ve recently rejoined the trust after being involved during the pandemic and I am looking forward to improving the facilities for the next generation of Buckdenites. 

I have worked for the same employer since 2004, Providing Maintenance Services, Programming UK Wide Accommodation Projects, Providing Health and Safety Advice and now helping manage client/supplier relationships across large scale national facilities contracts. 

Des Foster, Trustee & Treasurer
 

Born 1960 Surrey. 

Have lived in Buckden 11 years. 

5 Children and 8 Grandchildren. 

Retired 10 years ago.  Previous career with international financial institutions specialising in Information Technology.   Company director for many years running medium sized IT consultancy.  

Currently acting as Treasurer for BVHT appointed Nov 2025,   previously held this post 2016 to 2021.    

Buckden resident for over 30 years. 

Retired, former accounts officer. 

Interested in football and cricket, watching grandson playing both football and cricket and watching Buckden cricket team. 

I have lived in Buckden for 32 years.  My husband, my two children and I all attended Buckden primary school.  

I have joined the trust to help with projects that will provide our community with the nicest environment to be enjoyed by everyone.  

I am a registered nurse, the majority of my carer was in the Emergency Department, I moved to an operational role 6 years ago.
