Public Meeting at 7:30pm on Friday 16th February

The Trustees have instructed Allen Pyke Associates, Landscape Architects of Cambridge to draw up plans for the replacement of the existing storage units on the Playing Fields and improving the facilities available to the people of Buckden on and around the Fields.

The Trustees seek the views and ideas of those living in the village as to what improvements and additional facilities people would like to see and will be holding a Public Meeting for this purpose.

The meeting is open to everyone, of all ages, living in the village. A representative of Allen Pyke will be present to offer thoughts and suggestions and to take on board your ideas before they draw up any plans. This is your opportunity to help shape the village and how the Paying Fields may develop over the coming years. Please come and bring your ideas.

Once plans have been finalised, the Trustees intend to seek grant funding to turn the plans into reality.

Falls Prevention Clinic

The Fall Prevention Clinic is commissioned by CCC where appointments will be made over a 6 month period for individuals 50+ who may have a fear of falling, have previously had a fall or just would like to increase their physical activity level.

The trained staff will conduct falls assessments as well as prescribing personalised home-based strength and balance exercise programmes.  These exercise programmes are evidence based programmes that are proven to reduce falls-related injuries and help with balance and mobility.

Initial Assessments have been booked in November here at the Village Hall.  If you feel you can benefit and would like an appointment, please contact Change Point on 0333 005 0093.
